Stem Threadfill
A Kashmiri-inspired fill of fine stem stitch, brushed with directional light.
02 — The Story
03 — Macro Study
Read as museum plates — the stitch at the scale of the hand that made it.
Plate i — Thread Direction & Density
Rows of fine stem stitch are packed side by side in one direction until they fill a form entirely, leaving a soft directional grain.
Plate ii — Surface, Layering & Light
The grain catches light the way brushed silk does, the surface shifting subtly in tone as the viewing angle changes.
04 — Crafted Into
Where this technique lives in the collection.
Every stitch remembers the hand that placed it.
