Filigree Traceline is the finest of our outlines — a single traced line drawing a motif in thread alone.

Laid so cleanly it reads as drawn rather than stitched, it carries a whole design with almost nothing on the cloth. The line must never waver or thicken; at this delicacy, the smallest hesitation of the hand becomes visible.

It is the discipline of leaving out.

Read as museum plates — the stitch at the scale of the hand that made it.

Plate i — Thread Direction & Density

A single continuous line is traced in thread, doubling back on itself in tight, deliberate curves the way a metalworker would bend wire.

Plate ii — Surface, Layering & Light

Because the line never fills, only outlines, the surface stays delicate and open, closer to drawing than to solid embroidery.
